Grandiose Geometrics from Anton Stankowski

Anton Stankowski was a German graphic designer, photographer, and classically trained painter best known for his Deutsche Bank logo.  His design style utilizes minimal geometry in a really cool way through his use of grid-based formatting and bold colors.  He doesn't use type a whole lot, but when he does the placement and sizing are pleasantly attractive.

Brighten-Your-Day Posters from Pope Saint Victor

It's always great to check up on designers to see what kind of work they've been up to, kind of like listening to a new album from a band you like.  But with your eyes, rather.  After seeing what Victor Huckabee (aka Pope Saint Victor) has been doing, I am glad to say that his new stuff is just as awesome as his work last posted by us.  You can really tell how much feeling he puts into his designs, as if it weren't apparent enough.

Some nice playing with character expressions and typography shaping and placement.  And his illustrated thoughts are just too cool for school.
