Reader S.O.W -- Ian Percival

Penguin Book tribute film covers from Ian Percival, this week's Reader Submission Of the Week from Leicester, UK. I thought he was really able to capture that classic feel and harness it in recreating his own works--a prime example of inspiration at its best.

Rafael Tufiño - A classic Puetro Rican poster artist from New York

Rafael Tufiño, the "Painter of the People," is a famous Puerto Rican painter who was born in Brooklyn, but is also famous for his amazing poster prints.  If any of this is reminscent of old WPA posters, it's because Rafael Tufiño designed his most popular posters during the 1950's for government-sponsored literacy and hygiene campaigns.  Check out PuertoRicanPosters.com for more of his work and other designers from the country.
