Black Panther Propaganda

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, thought we'd do a post on Civil Rights Movement Posters highlighting posters from the revolutionary Black Panther party from the 70s.  Here are some pretty interesting newspaper covers from the organization,  mixing photography with some simple graphics to create some rather bold visuals.

If you guys like apples, then theres a high chance that you'll like Yusaku Kamekura's apples. Considered to be one of the founding graphic design pioneers during early 1900s Japan, Kamekura lived a respected life as being an important initiator in the design community.  He was a founding member in the Japan Artist Advertising Club (JAAC) as well as the Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA).

Some of his best known works come from the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, where he has developed his own style in design, combining post-modern Western and traditional Japanese influence.
