OFWGKTA - Hip Hop From Adolescent Hell

If A Tribe Called Quest grew up drinking Four Loko, they might sound like Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. Thankfully, these guys managed to avoid getting the "hip-hop-is-dead" memo 'cause they've released eleven albums in the last two years. The leader of the collective, Tyler (@fucktyler), does a heavy amount of production, beat making, and lyrical swagging. After huffing teen spirit in LA, NYC, and London, they made it into this year's Coachella line up.

Record Sleeves and Album Art for Com Truise

As if there wasn't enough I could post about Com Truise, there are a ton of great record sleeves (or at least album art) for his releases.  In a way, album art and flyers can be new predominant forms of printed show posters and record labels.  Seriously, how much stuff actually gets printed these days?

Now, I don't know who designed these, but whoever it is has a good eye -- that is, if it is even the same person.  If you have a tip to the designer, please let us know so we can give him credit!
But yeah, even his website is freaking well designed:

Music Instrument Posters from Miguel Lozano

Some pretty cool posters for band members for a group called The Risas by Miguel Lozano from Barcelona, Spain.  These caught my eye for the nice layout of the graphics and text, with the visuals used to represent the instruments cleverly made out as well.  Reminds me of the Rockband player selection icons almost, but better.

Free Moral Agents Show Flyer by Pedro Martinez

We haven't posted one of those random-show-flyers-we-come-across-that-are-actually-cool in a long while, but here's a pretty nicely done one for the Free Moral Agents playing at The Blue Cafe in Long Beach.  While some people might get all nit picky over certain details in this flyer, I think it works as what it is: disposable art that is used to get attention and produced in a quick and efficient manner.

Minimalist Beatles Posters from Matt Chase

I remembered seeing this pretty awesome inspiring United States Postal Service re-branding floating around the Twitterverse a while back from D.C based graphic designer Matt Chase, and through some kind of omen I felt the need to check up on his work where I was nowhere near disappointed.

Hes got a lot of good stuff, and though I wanted to post up some more of his other fine work, I thought that it would take away from this set of Beatles posters that deserve your undivided attention.  He really makes the black and white work, and comes up with some really nice visuals for some of their tracks.

Wonderful Poster Designs by Renee Fernandez

Ratatat gig poster available here.

Closeup shows a cool pattern on the Ratatat poster.

White Denim gig poster by Renee Fernandez available here.

Beach House poster available here.

To be honest, the Renee Fernandez' website doesn't tell me too much about Renee Fernandez, but it is packed with tons of cool posters and illustrations.  I think she has designed what is probably the raddest Ratatat poster out there.
