The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories toys by Tim Burton

Dark Horse Deluxe now has introduced an upcoming line of large-size vinyl figures based on the characters from Tim Burton’s most personal work – The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories. This new 6” line brings forward the special nuance of each individual creation, and fits very nicely into the ever-growing popularity of “designer vinyl” collectible toys. Three releases are planned for the end of 2009: Oyster Boy, Stain Boy, and Toxic Boy. No word yet on pricing or run size.

The Art of Tim Burton Book

Beginning in November 2009, MoMA in New York will host a "major career retrospective on Tim Burton." You can preorder the $14 catalog from the show at Amazon. And Burton's official site lists a much larger book called The Art of Tim Burton, but doesn't provide any details as to price or issue date.
