First Look Ferg's Playge first figure Misfortune Cat

FERG's (aka Clay Ferguson of Jamungo) has shown his first piece from his newest company Playge, I told you how Aaron Horkey designed the logo for it. Misfortune Cat. Fans-of-Ferg might be familiar with the Misfortune Cat character - seen as a print last year (above) and also as a forum-avatar ... and in it's vinyl incarnation, will stand 9 inches tall in rotocast vinyl with injection pieces for eyes and tongue. This will allow for colored clear pieces to be used, same as the ones used for Project Squadt eyes (also designed by FERG).

Mark Ryden’s First Ever Toy - YHWH Pictures on sale details

Here is the first photo we have seen of Mark Ryden’s first ever toy - YHWH. The figure is titled after one of his paintings (seen after the jump) and also cleverly posed with a little girl as in the painting, the figure is 16" tall. Not sure what it is meant to be but one definition of YHWH is the God of the Old Testament as transliterated from Hebrew consonants. Perhaps it’s Ryden’s vision of the Almighty, at least in the world of his paintings.

The figure will come in a special box and will be released by famed collector Long Gone John’s Necessaries Toy Foundation. There will also be two other colorways - black and white - more rare no doubt. Look for this to drop mid-summer 09

MAD by Fully Visual – Modern Hero in Metal figure

MAD’s Modern Hero in metal drops this Wednesday (3.25) @ 6PM PDT from Fully Visual. Good to see MAD’s vintage skeleton ‘toon character make the jump to an original figure (well, of his noggin). This one is limited to 100 pieces @ $99 – 99 silver + 1 gold chase. There also 20 black nickel artist editions that MAD will release on his own.

Ferg’s Squadt Nozzel S1 (3.30) on sale details

Ferg’s brilliant Squadt project from Jamungo/ThreeZero is about to drop its first release. This is one of the toy projects that we think of whenever someone asks “What’s hot?” Squadt combines the hyper-detailed realism of 1:6 style military figures with a designer vinyl sensibility. The figures have smaller almost cute proportions and as this first Squadt Nozzel S1 figure shows unexpected twists – hello mr. cyclops.

Squadt Nozzel S1 stands 6” tall, comes with 2 sets of arms (for posin’ and wielding), custom patterned jacket (sick), and machine gun and helmet accessories.
