April Labbits Vinyl & Plush by Frank Kozik x Kidrobot

The month of April is Labbit-month as Kidrobot rolls out a selection of both vinyl and plush from Frank Kozik's bunny creation - starting with the 10 incher 1984 LABBIT - complete with safety pins and too-kool-for-skool pink laser-shades @ US$50 per pop with only 1000 pcs churned out. April 23rd is the official drop-date, but there'll be an exclusive pre-release on April 2nd @ Kidrobot NY.

Watch out for them Labbit Plushies to come hopping out something in April (no definite drop-date as yet) in two sizes: 7 inchers and 14 inchers.

- US$15.95 for the blue and pink 7 incher Plush 'Stache Labbits (which makes them look like 70's disco porno-plush-stars LOL - cool)

- US$29.95 each for the white Smorkin’ Labbit and 'Stache Labbit

- not too sure if they'll come with labbit-bung-holes as per Switcheroo's 24-inchers, but hold your breath if you want to anyways :p

Medicom x Disney: Mickey TRON Version vinyl toy

As a general rule, I’m just not that into Disneyana. But this penetrates all walls of opposition. As seen on Freshness today, Disney fuels speculation about a sequel to the classic early-eighties film, Tron, with this Mickey Mouse figure in full “blue program” outfit. Medicom Toy Co. is currently taking pre-orders for the 5-inch figure, but only for buyers in Japan. Call me crazy, but I’m digging Mickey all done up like the “electronic gladiator.”

Pushead’s Skull Captain and Skull Pirates Pictures

Wow. Just spied these while clicking around on Artoyz’ Flickr. Characters by Pushead (fansite). Production by Secret Base. Coolness factor: exponential. There have been a couple other Skull Pirates to date, including some metallics. I love the green and blue/green colorway personally. Pushead is in a class of his own. Are these out yet?

Alex Pardee’s Walrus Rider Vinyl Toy: First Colorway Pictures

We’ve been eagerly awaiting a picture of the finalized Alex Pardee Walrus Rider since Upper Playground released the first proto shots. Stores are starting to drop photos to gauge interest in the piece. I don’t like pink and I don’t like teal, but I LOVE this figure. This will be one of a couple colorways, so if the hues don’t suit you, wait it out. The 11-inch figure sports “detailed gradient blends” and features a broken tooth that re-locks onto the walrus’ tooth and a C.H.U.D. rider with bendy arms. He comes packaged in a window box for $75. This is an edition of 500 with an anticipated release date of mid-April. Special surprises are also rumored to be forthcoming…
