Posters for Hard Fest that keep a consistent theme of vibrantly colored fog.

The RYB colorway fog coalesce nicely, and the in-your-face text is both appealing and easy to read.

Philippe Archontakis + Departement

 

 

Philippe Archontakis of the Canadian design group Departement is clearly putting out some good poster designs for Montreal.  Taking a look at Departement's blog I also stumbled upon some really fantastic live interactive design for the huge screens at Nine Inch Nails concerts.  Since most people come to Flyergoodness for the gig and show posters, I imagine that most of you appreciate cool light show designs at concerts:

Just a few posters (and the official one) from this year's Sasquatch Festival in Washington.  An amazing line up, and an even more amazing array of beautiful posters and flyers.

Band of Horses @ Outside Lands

Promotional design for Band of Horses playing at this year's Outside Lands festival in San Francisco.  It's not your usual festival or gig poster -- its almost as an elegant book cover or something you might find in a beautiful antiques shop.  Design credits unknown -- if anyone can provide a tip off to the artist we'd very much appreciate it!

SuperExpresso aka Michele Angelo

SuperExpresso was kind enough to send in these fine works of art promoting the Good Life festival in Barcelona.  His work does not only reveal very pleasing geometry, but the depth and textures really bring out a modern, yet organic feel.  The tyographic work done for the "Good Life" title stands strong even on its own.

Industrial Funk

Some cool front covers for Industrial Funk covers. Love the 3D depth to these, however the back of both flyers aren't really mentionable.

LovEvolution 2009

Like many other rave/festival flyers, this SF Lovefest flyer is fairly standard for an afterparty. You got your 3D rendered logo and accents, but then all that gets dilluted by the mashed text and the random last-minute add ins: the sponsors, the screenshots, the audience background...the website....

Minsun Eo - Marvelous Night of Seoul

Amazing poster by Seoul's Minsun Eo for the Lighting Festival. Every segment of every shape and letter is as detailed to specific fill and stroke styles to a very minuscule level.

Not a bad flyer for this year's Earth Dance-- Although undoubtedly cramped, but simple justification and curvature can make some difference with the type. The main eye candy lies behind the title.
