WORLD WIDE EXCLUSIVE NEW DEUCE 7 ART WORK IN NEW YORK CITY

One of my favorite artists was in New York the past couple weeks doing some work. Ladies and gentleman, the newest art work by Deuce 7. Thank to Jay (Greasy) for pictures. The tops and bottoms of the columns started as one thing but ended up as something else. Deuce worked with a couple of friends on them. Bader Israel a great tattoo artist and graffiti artist did the tops of the columns and New York’s own SARZ tagged and did a little also. Check back tomorrow for more pictures and an exclusive interview with Deuce. And in the following days, some video.

Big sure to click on the pictures for some nice big images. Feel free to leave a comment by clicking the comment link at the bottom of the post.

Awareness-Raising event and reception for the
"Eminent Domain Awareness" Group Show

Tonight's event features legendary Dead Kennedys frontman and activist Jello Biafra, recent Vice Presidential candidate and former SF Board of Supervisors President Matt Gonzalez, newsman and Argonaut Editor Warren Hinckle, live screenprinting by Political Gridlock and The Firehouse, and music by Burnt House and DJ Evil Justin + surprise guest performers!

Join us for an evening of spoken word, live music and art as we raise awareness about Eminent Domain in our neighborhood. Few know that a San Francisco agency, the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, is eliminating 33 small, local businesses, including Varnish, and numerous residences in order to demolish all properties and later resell the land. The TJPA is forcing Varnish, among the first tenants and years before the end of the lease, to vacate this September for an October 2009 demolition of its nearly 100 year old building. This gallery and wine bar will have to vacate 77 Natoma Street, but the owners hope that by raising awareness about this eminent domain threat they can stop its abuses on this and future San Francisco projects.
