Great colors and a great way to mash tons of elements into one appealing poster design. Also be sure to check out his cool screen printed posters that he designed for LOST.

Retro Film Poster Remakes by Lloyd Stas
Lloyd Stas redesigned a few movie posters that you see here, some pretty damn good designs beyond fan art standards. A talented artist from Nottingham, UK, you can tell how he's been inspired by the illustrations and classic movie posters of Saul Bass, who was featured a little while ago on Flyer Goodness.
For this post we were tipped off by a Flyer Goodness reader who goes by the alias of 'MC.' Thanks for sharing, and we hope more people send us cool posters and graphic art when they run into neat finds on the web. We really do post up the stuff you guys send out, as if our Reader Submission of the Week wasn't a testament to that already.

Simply Amazing: "Jaws" Movie Poster Re-Design by Strong Stuff
This is one of those posters that leaves me mostly speechless, mostly with one of those "dang, thats so clever" moments. Re-designing a movie poster opens new doors since the public, fans of the film in particular, are already aware of the story, famous scenes, and the movie in general. And I love it when an artist ties together a particular scene or visually summarizes the movie as well as Strong Stuff (aka Tom Whalen) has done here. Check out Strong Stuff's website and DeviantArt for more. And Jesus, I do pray that these get printed.

An Inspiring Story of an Unofficial John Butler Trio Poster designed by a fan
As a fan of the John Butler Trio, Brennan Gilbert designed an unofficial poster for the band as a personal project and emailed it over to their manager in the hopes that the band might actually check out his fan art. Well, they nearly went for printing it out as an official poster. Read more about the process and the story on Brennan Gilbert's Design Blog.
Here's the original version of the poster Brennan sent out to the band.
Moral of the story: if you're a fan of something and made some art of it that you're proud of, trying sending it through.
