Bauhaus Posters from the Letters Only Exhibition

'Letters Only' is a gallery exhibition of typographic posters drawing influence from the Bauhaus movement, with some more contemporary than others.  With slight uses of tilts and slants in type and abstract shapes, its hard not to like anything Bauhaus.

Robert Sessler

Tribute post to another Swiss graphic design legend, Robert Sessler (not related to adam sessler, hopefully.) Sessler paid his dues in developing his own distinct style in graphic design as a pupil to Bauhaus painter Johannes Itten before opening his own studio and eventually following suit of the many other successful Swiss graphic designers of his time and moving to Germany to teach.

Great design work, including posters, brochures, logos, and promo pieces from Robert Sessler, and humbling to know that he lived a good life and passed away the year I was born with his work still influencing the status quo of graphic design.

C2F is a design firm in Switzerland consisting of Cybu Richli & Fabienne Burri.  They can do a very clean look or a very complex look from one poster to the next, all with a very unique graphic style.  There's a lot of depth and texture to their works, and they play with layers in a very technical way.

Niklaus Troxler (2000's)

Founder of Jazz in Willisau, Switzerland, Niklaus has made his own mark in graphic design through the organizing of Jazz concerts and festivals as well as running his own studio and later becoming a professor in Germany teaching his dynamic and unique style of print design.

He's been able to achieve the level of equilibrium between life and profession as he demonstrates through his passion for jazz and design.
He's got a TON of stuff that hes made over the years, take a load of this.

He makes it happen.

Classic landmark designer from the 1960's. Iconic palette, geometry and type.
