Jakarta International Film Festival Poster

 Here's a pretty cool poster for the 2008 film festival in Jakarta, Indonesia.  Apparently it's designed by Sanubian, and from his/her/their DeviantArt and blog, the desinger is either a young male/woman/couple from Jakarta.  Upon first glance at the poster, I thought at first that the designer was holding the poster in front of them as many artists do, but then I saw the pegs and realized that it's just the border of the poster.  Kinda clever.

I stumbled upon this piece on DeviantArt, turns out that this young artist who goes by anaklangit has some pretty impressive vectored portraits. The concept, mood and lighting on this flyer is all consistently dark, and the graphic concept itself is something that is hard to ignore.
