2010 LA Marathon Poster - Designed by Cleon Petersen of Studio Number One

Celebrating the marathon's 25th anniversary, this year's 2010 LA Marathon poster is designed by Cleon Petersen of Studio Number One, a Los Angeles design studio supported by Shepard Fairey.  This screen print is available for $45 at Subliminal Projects.

The design work from the past Los Angeles Marathons haven't been bad either.  I'm liking the logo from last year's 2009 LA Marathon:

Entire collection of LOST screenprint posters now available

Ty Mattson recently released these LOST-inspired posters last week, and today the entire set is available for purchase as official ABC merchandise here.

Here's some shots of the posters getting some red carpet treatment with the producers and the cast of LOST:

How cool must it be to have Daniel Faraday (Jeremy Davies) showing off your card?

Don't forget to check out our full post of all the posters on Flyer Goodness, Including all the big detail shots.

Event promotions done right - club flyers from the Detroit Bar

Almost every night at Detroit Bar has been a good night for me, and very often they have some great bands and DJs coming in.  The flyers however, with 10-minute or less deadlines, can usually be hit-or-miss. But every once and a while, a Detroit Bar event has a decent flyer.  I'm not sure if their resident designer suddenly has some inspirational moments, but when they come the designs turn out pretty well in terms of bar flyers.

And for reference, here's some of Detroit Bar's flyers collected from our previous posts on Flyer Goodness, all the way back to our first post in 2008:

Jeremy Fish - Laguna Show

As eye-catching as the dark/cute and meticulous style of Jeremy Fish, this promotional poster for his current art show going on in Laguna Beach doesn't fail to represent the man's great talent.  Visit the San Franciscan's website to check out more of his work, including print and shirt designs for Upper Playground.

Nocturnal Festival 2007

In the spirit of the upcoming Nocturnal Festival in southern California, here's a pretty cool fold-out flyer from two years ago. As a multiple-page flyer it might seem to blend in with the other mini-books they pass out at night, but the front grabber image on the cover is pretty cool.
